Like last year, the focus of the “next code” project is on process-based co-operations of artists from different cultures: What is the legacy of the nationalist twentieth century? What are the consequences of the involvements in the common history of the so-called ‘West’ and South-East Europe? Against the backdrop of the radical experiences of the past century, three generations of artists work on possibilities of productively coming to terms with the past. The main venues are Gleisdorf and Weiz, with branches leading to Graz and Belgrade.
