Playful samples, airy loops, light and whirring, with a nonchalantly whispered woman’s voice: People Press Play from Denmark is a confluence of electronica and song-writing, the result is an engaging blend of laid-back jazz, economical easy listening and finely chiselled sounds. Together with Anders Remmer, Jesper Skaaning and Thomas Knak (the old familiar members of the ambient trio Future 3) vocalist Sara Savery plays brilliantly with analogue and digital sounds – passion and minimalism, rarely have these two been so close.
